Michael Vincent Hardy, of Foxford was convicted in Castlebar Court today for giving pro-Sinn Féin (and anti-British) speeches in Kilmovee and Kilkelly in Co. Mayo during March and April this year. He was jailed for three months and fined £50. The judges were J Kilbride and J C Milling (Royal Magistrates). The constable giving evidence was Constable McLoughlin of Kilmovee.
